Import and Export
The Import/Export page is available to Owners and Administrators. It works with item data in a ZIP archive; it is separate from the full Trove backup and restore process.
Export items
Export All Items creates a ZIP archive with one CSV file per item type. Optionally include decrypted images in a media/ folder; this can take time for a large Trove. To export only the current filtered set, use Export Current View on the Contents page.
Import items
- Select a compatible exported ZIP archive.
- Choose whether to overwrite matching items (matched by
_id), create missing categories, and restore media from the archive'smedia/folder. - Select Import and review the created, updated, skipped, warning, and error counts.
Only rows matching item types that already exist in the destination Trove are imported. To import only some records, edit the CSV files in the archive before importing. When restoring media, files already present are skipped. Importing does not create item types or act as a full Trove restore.
