Content Moderation
In general, content moderation is the responsibility of the Trove owner and designated administrators. Because trove content is encrypted, Family Treasures has no ability to review or moderate content posted to a Trove except in the case where "AI Assist" is used to label items based on photo(s) associated with the item. When AI Assist is used, the unencrypted photo(s) associated with the item are transmitted to the cloud for analysis, and as part of that process, are subject to automated content moderation.
If images submitted for AI analysis score above a certain threshold for Violence, Hate, Self-Harm, or Sexual content, we decline to categorize such images and the user who submitted them will be warned of a content violation. Repeated content violations will result first in a temporary suspension of the AI Assist feature for that user. Repeated temporary suspensions can result in permanent suspension of the feature.
