Media, References, and Ratings

ImageList

An ordered collection of images associated with an item. Use it for photos and image records. Built-in Treasure, Memory, and Person types include Photo(s).

AttachmentList

An ordered collection of file attachments. Use it for scans and supporting documents. Treasure includes Documents; Document includes File(s).

ItemRefSingle and ItemRefMulti

Item-reference fields link items within the same Trove. Set the target item type in the field configuration (the built-ins target Person). A single reference selects one item; a multi-reference selects several. The picker displays each target's Name, and references can connect records without duplicating their details. For example, Treasure's Bequeathed To links one Person, while Memory's People in Memory links multiple People.

If a referenced item is deleted, the field's orphan behavior can mark the link as deleted, remove it on load, or prevent deletion of the referenced item. The default is to keep the reference and show a deleted-item placeholder.

SimpleRating

A straightforward rating control for one value on an item. Use it when a rating is an attribute of the item itself.

MemberRating

A collaborative rating that records ratings from Trove members. This differs from a single item value because ratings are associated with members.

PersonRating

Rates the interest of individual people in an item. The control lists Person records and shows each person's rating, along with an average and vote count. Ratings require cloud sync. The built-in Treasure Interest field uses PersonRating.
